Description

The New Mexicans isn't a souped-up, Pacific Northwest interpretation of Land of Enchantment cookery: It's a real-deal restaurant that might as well be on the outskirts of Albuquerque. Helmed by a native New Mexican whose grandfather policed Hatch County and whose grandmother taught her how to make dumplings, the casual restaurant is an enchilada powerhouse.

    This set a new record for the worst service and food my family and I have ever received. I have never written a restaurant review in my life, but this one has to be done .... We arrived shortly after 6:30pm and waited for over an hour. We were finally seated at a table on the east wall of the restaurant where I had an excellent view of the staff in the kitchen, and the owner and her husband sitting at the bar drinking. after a bit they headed off but not before pouring his margarita into a paper to go cup with a straw. The place was starting to clear out as we were ordering our dinner. We ordered drinks at this point, Oh I might say this, it was tea because of the $7 draft beers on tap, I'm not broke but that's just crazy beer prices. As we waited I watched the Hispanic male who claimed to be the manager prepare our food WITH THE MICROWAVE who then pulled out the plates and proceeded to lay his BARE HAND across all the food to check the temp After the plates went in and out of the MICROWAVE two to three times each. After placing our order and waiting over 45 minutes for our food. Its now 8:15ish pm and they bring out three of the seven plates with no silverware or napkins, the three of us sat there for another 5 minutes waiting for them to bring them. After several minutes the rest of the plates were delivered. My son and Myself ordered the Red enchiladas that the menu stated were made with ground beef, yea well upon inspecting my soggy tortillas and lettuce for the meat, there was none. I called the waitress over and expressed my surprise. At this point I had lost my appetite and told here my order was wrong and to please just remove it from my bill. She took my plate and walked away. She then had the Hispanic male come back over to my table to try and hand me back the same plate and I told him the same thing "you forgot the meat" His response was priceless he said " the meat is in the sauce" because I ordered the spicy sauce and that they only put meat in the Washington sauce which my son ordered who promptly opened up his to reveal no meat in his either. Immediately The guy was an arrogant jerk to us because of there error. At this point my family and I were made to feel very uncomfortable by the tone of his voice as he yells at us to just leave then.....That was all we needed we were gone.
    I am an Executive Director of a large company with many employees. Conduct of this manner towards any customer or work mate is automatic grounds for termination of employment. My eldest son is the Manager of a local Large chain grocery store, my youngest son is a manager at a large paint supplier and my wife is a long time state of Washington employee, so to see this kind of arrogant blatant disregard customer service was appalling.
    I hope this does not fall on deaf ears. People of Everett are a tighter nit group than this. I hope we can band together to show our unity in not patronizing this establishment.
