Description

The Mezzanine Lounge boasts a diverse clientele, and the beautiful servers are oftentimes randomly in their underwear. Don't worry, it's legal. Forget workman's compensation; this is customer compensation, thank you very much. The bar also offers karaoke along with a party atmosphere upstairs and a calmer, more laid-back feel downstairs. Be forewarned: If you choose to venture upstairs, you will have beer spilled on you and deal with a lot of rowdy drunks. Everyone's into that kind of thing from time to time, but if you're just looking to knock a few back before you drive home, stay downstairs. It's quieter. Recently the bar was also named the "Smartest Bar in America" for its high bar trivia scores. Maybe we can get the Mezz's drinkers looking into a cure for cancer...

Unfortunately, in Houston, if you want to play poker against actual people and not computer avatars, and you don't want to go to an "underground" room where there's always the possibility of participating in a police raid or having a gun pointed at your face, you'll have to settle for the bar leagues. You can land there any day of the week and find yourself overcome with joy about how cheap the drinks are. And good news for sports fans � the drink prices seem to be inversely proportional to the number of televisions, and there's a Bloody Mary bar during football season. The jukebox whiplash you'll get after listening to the likes of Blue October, Beastie Boys and Bob Marley within the span of ten minutes might deter you from staying for long, but things start sounding a lot better when you've had four drinks for around $10.

the mezzanine lounge is a very cool place ,fun people , great service, best karaoke shows (wed and sat nights) id love showing up for happy hour and cant seem to leave so i end up staying for the karaoke show, 5 stars,,,,in my book
