A side venture of the bustling King's Hawaiian bread-makers, the lines at The Local Place are as long as they are swift. Quick breakfast sandwiches are the popular choice inside the cafeteria-like space, since the stiff metal chairs don't really entice you to stay long. But don't be fooled by the savory bento box options or cheap loco moco; it's the bakery section you're after. The Local Place is the more casual of the two South Bay restaurants associated with sweet bread makers King's Hawaiian. Located on Western Avenue in Torrance, near the 405, this restaurant has lengthy lines, but the service is quick. Breakfast is the best bargain, with Spam and egg musubi for $2.05 and breakfast sandwiches for $2.85.
