(You didn't think we meant authentically Mexican, did you?) Other reasons for its enduring popularity are the friendly service and a salsa bar stocked with vividly spiced sauces like orange-habañero and roasted tomato. The plantain and black bean burrito, a cult favorite among vegetarians, brings together slices of creamy, sweet fried plantain with roasted red peppers, enough cheese to contain the sugars in the fruit, and black beans, which don't need a hunk of smoked pork to taste meaty.
