Ask Kelly, the lively and welcoming barkeep, what's special about the Hydrant and the first thing she'll tell you is that firefighters, police officers, and lifeguards drink for half-price. That's bar manager James Laly's way of giving back to those who do good. Laly was a firefighter himself before he turned his attention to hydrating thirsty patrons. You don't have to be a hero to enjoy yourself at the Hydrant, though. Located right across the street from the beach and boasting a great happy hour, a few TVs, and a pool table, even those of us who've never hit the siren can get fired up about this joint.
