Away from the madness of Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach is the quaint and hidden Hurricane Bar and Lounge. Simple in design, the interior bar is filled up mostly by a large wooden bar and a mural of swaying palm trees appropriately lines the walls. The outdoor tiki area has a nautical theme with scuba flags and fishing accoutrements dangling near the tiny bar. The casual crowd and laid-back attitudes gives the locals a relaxing option opposite the high-energy atmosphere found on the Ave. From 1pm to 7pm there is a daily 2-4-1 happy hour, and live bands play for the nighttime crowds Thursday through Sunday.

This place had the worse service by the bartending staff... I would never go back there... It was my 1st time there and I could have potentially been a new customer to the establishment but how I was treated when I went I would never got back and will tell all my friends about how horrible I was treated at this place.

Hurricane is an awesome little dive bar right off the Atlantic Ave. strip. A live band and great bartenders will put you in the right mind to let a little loose. This place starts to get really busy after 10pm and stays crazy until closing.
By the time Sunday night rolls around after a long weekend of fun, it's not uncommon to experience an aversion to activities like cooking and putting on shoes. If this sounds familiar, find your perfect weekend-capper at Rockout With Your Cookout, the weekly Sunday hangout put on by Brotherly Love Productions at Hurricane Lounge. Each week, a different local, regional, or national band is featured -- usually of the jam, funk, or reggae sort and often in a stripped-down configuration to... More »
There are plenty of places in South Florida that cater to the home team and an exorbitant number of dives that welcome fans of Northeast teams like the Giants, Jets, and even Patriots, but where is a die-hard "Iggles" fan to go? With its tropical-storm-system moniker and nautical interior, Delray Beach's Hurricane Bar & Lounge isn't the most obvious of choices for an ex-resident of the City of Brotherly Love to take in a sports game. Heck, even its nondescript locale -- on the... More »
