Description

Doughnuts. Beer. That's really all most people need to know about the Hole, the joint that Mike Delmonico opened in a northwest Denver storefront that's devoted to serving those two items. But there's so much more: Delmonico, who got his pastry degree from Johnson & Wales University, cooks up at least two dozen kinds of doughnuts a day -- everything from a chocolate doughnut with Guinness cream to a PB-and-banana version -- and also offers breakfast sandwiches (on doughnuts) and regular sandwiches. Plus, the Hole has a full bakery stocked with flatbread pizzas, croissants, danishes, breads and creampuffs. To wash it all down? Beer, of course.
