More of an afterthought to the adjacent golf course than an original concept, the Flagler nonetheless touts its USDA prime with trumpets a-tooting. For an anniversary or a wedding where someone's looking to drop a ton of cash on red meat and red wine (and an after-dinner drink or two), this offshoot of the Breakers Hotel offers class without too much of the prerequisite snootiness. And the prix fixe meals do take the edge off the steepness of the bill. Tater tots stuffed with truffle/Gorgonzola set a high standard, simple but delicious. The steaks inevitably hit the mark (for the price, they better), but the Kobe beef burger is outstanding. Giant, fresh chocolate-chip cookies are the way to go for dessert - big, crispy flying saucers with melted chips inside.
