Description

Locals tend to disparage the cuisine and long summertime waits for a table, but the mesquite-grilled seafood is usually quite good. Fresh catch of the day is always a good choice, and save room for the best desserts in South County: a slice of the peanut-butter pie or the mud pie, which is mammoth.

    Pricey, indifferent service and food, and overrun with out-of-towners who don't know any better and assume that the meal will be as good as the view. Speaking as one of the locals, we are all grateful for the existence of the Fisherman's Restaurant. It is an excellent tourist trap, and diverts non-residents from all the truly great restaurants in San Clemente, which are crowded enough as it is. What restaurants, you might ask? Sorry, you'll have to find them yourself.

    Great place to have dinner or lunch, especially on a warm, clear day! You can sit outside right over the water!

    Right at the base of the pier. can't get any closer to the ocean. outside seating all year round with heaters. Water rolls right underneath you during high tide. Good place to eat fish which is outstanding
