Worlds away from the lavish establishments of Boca, the Duck Tavern is where the hard drinkers about town choose to knock back a cold one. The interior looks a little dilapidated, but in a good way. Barstools are a bit torn, old newspaper write-ups grace the exposed-brick wall, and cigarette smoke permeates the air. Outside Boca's standards, the Duck is hardly a dive. Customers have tons of sitting space, and the bar serves countless exotic beers from places like Chile, Japan, Ethiopia, and Israel, to name just a few. The bartenders are friendly but definitely emit the take-no-shit attitude that coincides with the Duck's sometimes-downtrodden clientele. The Duck also offers great specials, perks, and events like half-off drinks if you wear a Duck Tavern shirt on Monday. Bottomless drafts on Wednesday and Saturday, Wi-Fi for those who can drink and work simultaneously, and free poker tournaments on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays -- buy-in is at 8 p.m.
