Open for over 60 years, this Hollywood landmark had its moments in the limelight, with stints in movies such as Swingers and That Thing You Do. Live lounge music plays as you take your seat in one of the round booths in the dining room, checking out the menu for seafood as well as meat dishes such as prime rib and roast rack of lamb. For serious meat eaters, there is the Chateaubriand for two.

Not my word, but a good copy/paste: The Dresden Restaurant is famous for movies like Swingers, That Thing You Do with Tom Hanks and a host of others that have chosen it for location shoots. It's been around since 1964 and still carries itself with that air of the 60s. At the bar, blue glasses are seen before patrons as they sip the house classic Blood and Sand--a space age margarita--and of course the ubiquitous martinis and Manhattans. Glasses of wine are popular, but the best choice is a bottle from the Dresden's 33-bin wine list. There is only standing room late at night, but there's never with a cover charge. On Mondays the place is empty, great time to go and enjoy the music ! The music being Marty and Elayne, the black-clad duo who've effectively owned this room since 1982. Taking on everything from Captain and Tennille to the Bee Gees, the ageless geriatric pair have not only created the last vestige of swank dining and cocktail consumption in the tradition of Coconut Grove, but they've also made a stop here a veritable commandment in the bible of hip.
