In a city that prides itself (see what we did there?) on having one of the most prominent and active LGBT communities in the world, how do you determine the best place to see a drag show? By going to the place with the most glitter! Described by one Yelp reviewer as "a slightly skeezy gay bar from the mid-'70s, left untouched for 40 years, and revisited in 2012," what Aunt Charlie's Longue lacks in size and location, it makes up for in hosting some of the best and intimate drag shows in S.F. Twice a month, this hole-in-the-wall bar known for its cheap (and stiff) drinks and raucous entertainment, hosts The Dream Queens Revue, a drag show filled with "outrageousness glitz and fabulicious-ness." We don't know exactly what that means, but we love it. Featuring members of the Grand Ducal Council, a camp-oriented nonprofit that raises money for charities, and a token male performer (as in, a man performing masculinity), this unforgettable cabaret show is a must-sequined spectacle that's not to be missed.
