With its rich mahogany interior and ornate woodwork, The District Lounge
purports to hold the oldest liquor license in Newport Beach. Originally
opened as the Stag in 1914, the District was renovated and returned to
original glory in 2006. Located within walking distance of the Newport Pier,
this bar, which features a modest selection of domestic beers on draft as
well as a full complement of liquors, is a great spot for people watching. The lounge features two pool tables and a photo booth, as well as several flat-screen TVs.
