Hidden away on the edge of Scottsdale's Old Town district, the Crown Room is a swank sanctuary for those seeking a more chillaxed nightlife option. The crowds aren't very pushy and the musical mix tends to favor downtempo jams and electro-house, with the occasional hip-hop banger thrown in. Luxe leather lounge seating and an obsidian-colored bar that glows with red and orange occupy the majority of The Crown Room's intimate interior, meaning dancing space is limited. There's plenty of room for other social rites, however, such as sipping colorful cocktails like the chocolate cookie dough martini or testing out your best pickup line.

The name of the game here is chillaxing, which patrons seem to do in spades. Although this Scottsdale nightspot sits only a few blocks from the Scottsdale club hubbub of places like Axis/Radius and Pussycat Lounge, it feels like the usual crowd of d-bags and trouts is miles and miles away.
