Description

You never know where the Crème Brûlée Cart might turn up next (although Twitter can help), but Curtis Kimball, its owner, operator, and chef de cuisine, is definitely worth seeking out. His custards, served in tinfoil ramekins and broiled to order with a butane torch, are sweet, dreamy, and supple with perfectly crisp sugary chapeaux. They come in a delectable variety of flavors: lavender, s'more, honey vanilla, Mexican chocolate, German chocolate, toasted coconut, lemon with blueberry sauce, and our favorite, Bailey's, which perfectly combines the liqueur's lush essence with the custard's rich and creamy texture. The cart has been spotted at Fort Mason, Dolores Park, Jack London Square, and points between, so keep your eyes open.
