The concept at The Compound Grill is fresh Southwest selections, with the majority of its ingredients incorporating an organic, local-first, farm-to-table philosophy. The Compound Grill is a regional music venue where you can find a mix of offerings such as reggae, country soul, and Americana roots. Oh, and Compound Grill has strong ties to local charities, so when you see a show, the owners give... More »
Awesome music! Big dance floor and tasty organic and local food! This is one of the best spots to spend an evening at in the Valley!
Great small venue for live local music...and they also get great national acts. Food is good and they have friendly service with affordable prices.
If you aren't familiar with Scottsdale's very own McDowell Mountain Music Festival (www.mmmf.net) this new live music venue is an extension of the Festival... claiming "365 days" of the usual 2-day fest that takes place every April. Past acts include The Wailers, John Butler Trio, The Flaming Lips, Michael Franti & Spearhead...as well as many local bands. I have attended the last three years, and had me a GREAT TIME! The weather is perfect...camping is available (but I stayed in a nearby hotel) beer aplenty... we had VIP passes with 12 drinks and unlimited food all day. I have enjoyed every bit of the MMMF, and am absolutely giddy that they are opening a venue near my house here in Scottsdale. Opening act Nov. 7th is Jackie Greene, who ironically got blown off the stage during a past Festival performance (literally!)
