Stained-glass windows and hundreds of candles spread throughout the Church suggest a pious vibe, but the congregation is as mixed as they come. The roomy Lincoln Street mainstay draws globally hailed DJs, local residents, retro-lovers, even the under-21 set: Sections of the bar are open to those eighteen and up. A rooftop patio affords one of the city's best views.

old church revamped to multi level club with sushi cool spot
Multi level clubs are the best and the Church has several rooms of music making it a fun diverse club to party at.
The Church on an average Friday has good vibes, enough room to dance, good sushi, an awesome aerialist, good djs and pretty decent go go dancers all for $10. . .not too shabby.
Denver's infamous cathedral-turned-disco has been getting national props left and right as one of the nation's most sacred temples. And we couldn't agree more: From divine acts like Deep Dish to Paul Van Dyk, Seb Fontaine to Carl Cox and DJ Irene to DJ Rap, the Church's elders consistently offer up the most blessed of electronic sacraments. Those passionate about the beat should flock to the Church to bow down before the most high -- or at least admire the angels in the architecture. More »
We like the clubs, the clubs that go "boom." Which is to say we respect power in a sound system. But we respect precision even more. We want to hear the highs just as clearly as we feel the ribcage-massaging bass. Which is why we recognize the Church's new 100-grand main sound system as world-class, not to mention the best in Denver. The new speakers and amplifiers, which were installed in stages beginning last November, all come from the JBL Application Engineered line. In the past, a lot... More »
Celebrating a pagan holiday in a former church may be sacrilegious, but that doesn't scare us. Denver's most ghoulish characters congregate at The Church on All Hallow's Eve: One Halloween bash turned up a seven-foot-tall creature (the guy somehow managed to dance on stilts all night), an ape-masked person with red lasers for eyes, and a dead ringer for Prince. The winner of the costume contest that year got to go on a trip to San Francisco, and the second-place winner got a couple hundred... More »
