Description

There aren’t many places where you can go to get a wheat grass shot, vintage clothes, an Umami Burger and a live show all in one trip. But if you head down to the Camp on the right night, you’ll get all that and more. They’ll even throw in a parking spot with an inspirational message painted on it. Though it spends 99% of its time being an upscale open-air mall for the Central County hipster set, the Camp hosts plenty of pop-up local shows from outdoor mini festivals to quiet acoustic sets. Keep track of their event calendar and you’re guaranteed to stumble on something good.

  • 2011 | Best Place for People-Watching

And by people, we mean incredibly hot yoga chicks who swarm the place at all hours of the day, doing their stretching and breathing upstairs at the studio, then dining on microscopic lunches at Native Foods Café. The fun part is you can eat food that actually fills your belly at the East Borough Vietnamese sandwich joint, taco asylum, or Old Vine Café and still enjoy the view. Just watch out for the pesky Greenpeace activists who try to separate you from your green at the entrance. More »

Good shopping area. Not your typical "mall" stores.
