Any hotel in New York City is good with me, and preferably downtown, not midtown. The Bowery is like the living room I never had. When you walk into the lobby, it looks like a scene out of the board game, Clue. Everything’s old – there should be dudes sitting around smoking pipes and dogs sitting there.
A new hotel on the bowery. The crack bums of the 70s would probably think they'd fallen into the ultimate psychotic episode. But no, it is true! The Bowery is a slick, design-savvy operation that is actually done with a bit of an urban hunting lodge vibe. (It works.) The rooms a spacious and comfy and it is one of the best hotels for those who want to be downtown. The lobby is a hot spot late at night and it can actually be challenging to get in. Go on the early side with your best girl friend and soak in the people watching over a cocktail at the bar.
