The Bone has been a Deep Ellum mainstay for nearly two decades. It's a great hangout for locals and a great place to catch a band, but the real beauty of the place is in its patrons. Being a Deep Ellum bar means being a melting pot for hipster, hip-hoppers, bikers, and just about anyone else looking to hang out in the recovering neighborhood. Much like the attitude of surrounding scenery, The Bone is a no-frills joint where you can grab a beer and soak in some of the local color-and in Deep Ellum, there's a lot of it.

Some questions just seem more important than others. Who cares, for example, about the status of the Trinity River boondoggle or the merits of a police pay raise? We'd rather find out if Jerry Jones plans to embarrass the city by sponsoring a NASC... More >
