East Ballard's Blue Glass has no exterior signage, but you'll recognize it by the pretty glowing eponymous lamps that frame its doorway. The elegant entrance matches the minimalist interior, composed of a dark wood bar and bare, pale blue walls. Close neighbors like Molly Maguire's and The Dray are popular spots for rowdy group gatherings; the quiet and relaxed Blue Glass acts as the neighborhood's counterbalance. The food is mostly small plates - manila clams, grilled cauliflower, fries with "tomato jam" (it's ketchup) - and there's an old-fashioned cocktail menu, as well as local brews like Hale's and Boundary Bay on draft.
