Description

Pig, pig and more pig -- the Berkshire goes hog wild for pork. This restaurant in Stapleton is a temple to pork and to porcine indulgence, offering a menu full of all the great things you can do with a pig. There are pulled-pork sliders and pork belly, Serrano ham and cheese sandwiches, peanut butter and banana sandwiches with bacon, white chocolate and bacon cream puffs for dessert, and even pork-infused vodka, which makes for a great Bloody Mary. But by far the best plate here is the bacon flight -- one of the most brilliant ideas ever conceived.

    I love the caesar salad -- it's unusual and yummy. My husband loves the hamburger with fries and gravy! We're both in our separate but equal heaven at The Berkshire. It's also child-friendly for the grandkids. What more can you ask?

    Start with the pancetta-wrapped, cream cheese-stuffed jalapeño poppers but make sure you have a cold beer from the bar to wash it down because they have a good kick. Then you might want to graduate to the slow-cooked pulled pork sandwich or the King sandwich which has peanut butter, caramelized bananas and crispy bacon. Those are just a few of the choices from a complete menu of food that will make you feel warm and happy on a cold night.

    What a great local restaurant. I recommend the bacontini (bacon flavored martini). They also have excellent sliders.
