The name of this place might evoke visions of a 1980s fern bar, but no. Greenery leans toward bamboo at this bistro that specializes in food from the Phillippines along with good old American diner fare at breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are not many places where you can start the day with a choice of blueberry pancakes, eggs and bacon or Bangsilog, which is marinated milkfish. Mmmm. For the mid-day meal, there are all sorts of sandwiches, burgers, pancit and deep-fried pork belly and much more. There's no fusion going on here, just two culinary traditions thriving peacefully alongside each other. The United Nations could learn a thing or two here.
