So it stands to reason that Vung Thai, one of Houston's most exciting Thai joints, would be wedged between a Whataburger and a pool hall on a West Loop access road. Try the "shrimp in the blanket," the larb nur and especially the duck pineapple curry. As you can tell from the lime-colored walls and lemon-hued linens, this is not a restaurant that tries to please everybody, but rather a shrine to individuality.
