Located within walking distance of Minute Maid Park, the Texas Barbecue House takes pride in being an fan-friendly place; they urge you to park in their lot, have dinner and then walk on over to the Astros game. Like any barbecue joint, they offer an extensive variety of pork, beef and chicken, and also serve sandwiches, burgers and baked potatoes. The sides are all familiar enough to BBQ patrons - potato salad, beans, coleslaw - and the desserts, of course, include different pies and cakes. It's not a bad idea, selling barbecue by the pound with the expressed intent to cushion the blow of yet another Astros loss.
