Ten Thousand Villages, Houston will present an Introduction to Oriental Rugs Seminar for the public on Thursday, August 10 at 7 pm. This seminar will demonstrate the ancient art of Oriental rug creation, from setting up the warp to tying the fringes. It offers a broad overview, ideal for anyone considering an Oriental rug purchase and illustrates the difference fairly traded rugs make in the lives of Pakistani artisans.
