With drink specials galore and ample space - and elbowroom - to watch the big game, Ten Sports Grill makes for an ideal downtown sports bar. And, because of its proximity to the American Airlines Center, the bar often sees visits from local and national athletes after sporting events. It has 10 huge HD TVs plus a 110-inch projection screen, so anywhere you're seated, you're guaranteed a great view of the game. Happy hour specials run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays through Wednesdays; Thursdays, dubbed "Thirsty Thursdays," offer all-day, all-night happy hour prices. "Ladies Night Saturdays" offer $3 "top-ten" martinis, $2 mimosas and $2.50 frozen drinks, and on weeknights the Ten offers "2 for $10" specials on menu items like burgers and fries or grilled chicken pasta, and the kitchen's "super bowls," like the fire and ice (a soup of chicken, Portobello mushrooms and white rice with coconut, red curry and lemongrass), are among the biggest sellers.

At the corner of Main and Field, the downtown sports bar has hosted such celebs as Steve Nash (who stopped by to watch some English soccer), Charles Barkley (who stopped by to watch some NBA playoffs) and Shaquille O'Neal (who... The night before they whipped the Mavs in Game 1 on their way to an epic series upset, the Golden State Warriors chilled here. The night after he finished a season in which he averaged more assists than everybody not named Steve Nash, Utah Jazz star Deron Williams celebrated here. This season SMU basketball coach Matt Doherty and Cowboys top draft pick Anthony Spencer will both host weekly events here. Nash, Shaquille O'Neal, Michael Finley and Eduardo Najera make it a regular stop when in... More »
Owned by former Mavericks conditioning coach Chad Lewis and Steve Nash runnin' buddy Mark Oman, Ten is sure to be hoppin' with hoopsters. The joint has all the upscale amenities you'd expect from a bar taking up prime residence adjacent to the swanky Hotel Adolphus at Main and Field. The menu matriculates far above the standard fries and nachos, there are nine hi-def plasma TVs, a 100-inch movie screen and downtown's only working jukebox. Best of all, you never know who you might bump into.... More »
