The most fun I have had at a club (er, dive bar) in years. The vibe is much more like a friend's house party - some people dress to impress but no one would give you a second look if you were in your pajamas. The most culturally diverse scene you'll find anywhere - everyone is laid back and friendly (not a bunch of Hollywood pretension and people trying to profile or one-up each other). DJ Adam 12 (also in the band She Wants Revenge) and his rotating guest DJs spin all old school hip-hop, so the dance floor is always bumping. They serve forties in paper bags, there's a decent amount of seating, and an outdoor patio/living room for smokers. Street parking only - the neighborhood might feel sketchy for some, so bring a buddy if you don't want to walk it alone.
