There is comfort in knowing that, were buffalo wings invented in Japan, this is what they'd taste like;painted with a sweet soy-based dressing and lovingly sprinkled with sesame seeds by a staff that really seems into this place. Besides the wings, specialties include excellent soba and bean curd salads (pick the wasabi dressing) and a chicken katsu sandwich planted on a doughy bun with slaw. Not bad. We were sitting on the fence, though, when it came to the potato mochi;bizarre, rubbery potato fritters. This place could become part of your fast-food repertoire.

Enter TEBAYA, offering a Japanese twist on the tasty avian appendages, utilizing wings that seem to have come from 100-pound chickens and lacquering them with a dark, sweet sauce.
