Georgian food might be a mystery to most Americans. Packed full of meats, cheeses, creams, and dense breads, Tbilisiās traditional take on Georgian food should fit right in the wheelhouse of most fans of meat 'n' potatoes. One of the most exceptional things in Georgian food is the khachapuri, a type of dish that varies, but comes down to being dense calzone-like boats of bread stuffed with lots of cheese and sometimes topped with butter and a soft-boiled egg (khachapuri adjarian). There are cheese-stuffed mushrooms, lots of lamb dishes, and, for the less adventurous, rice and beans. Traditional borscht is available, too. Tbilisi, located in Gravesend, provides takeout and delivery, but those looking for a legitimate Georgian dining experience might as well make the trek in--and be sure to bring your own booze. --Shane Barnes
