This stylish Capitol Hill cocktail haven, spun off from the Belltown culinary giant Spur, specializes in Prohibition-era drinks served in period-appropriate glassware. The Needle and Thread "speakeasy" annex is worth a visit, too, if there's room for you. To gain admittance, you must first call from a phone in the downstairs lounge. Inside, the bartender will custom-craft a cocktail for you. From an ever-changing chalkboard menu, choose from some of the greatest bar snacks ever made (like the smoked fingerling potatoes with serrano chile fondue) or perfect renditions of classical American dishes (fried chicken, cheeseburgers) done with an eye towards cutting-edge technique and unusual combinations.
It's on Capitol Hill. There's a speakeasy upstairs that you call on a phone - it's very fun. Very spirit-forward drinks, and really fantastic food, too. They do very upscale bar food. It's great to go in and have some delicious snacks and a couple cocktails.
