If you already think sushi is too trendy, don't step foot into this hip bistro in the center of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino plaza. Tatu prepares sushi and other Asian fare with the goal of putting South Beach to shame. The prices are steep, but the ingredients and the recipes are fresh -- you'd never guess that the old Chinese restaurant standby of beef and broccoli could be so explosively tasty or that shrimp ceviche with mango, jalapeño, and passion fruit-yuzu sauce would be worth every penny of nearly $20. The sake menu is longer than the wine lists at fancy Italian restaurants, and the wait staff knows just how to help you pair the beverage to the entrée. If you feel self-conscious in beach attire, eat outside by the fountain and people- watch. If you're dressed to the nines, head inside to the semisecluded tables that are surrounded by chains (yes, chains) and the all-black-tile-and-fixtures bathrooms.
Everything on this menu is incredible including the drinks and deserts!!
