Description

Hatched by superstar chef Stephan Pyles and his younger sister Alena (both now gone from TC's parent Carlson Restaurants Wordwide), Taqueria Cañonita serves modestly good to superb tacos, empanadas, tostadas and tamales and a host of other "Mexico City Soul Food." But the food doesn't radiate with the star power of the founders. Still, the décor, with all of its wood, mirrors, candles and knickknack divots, is striking and downright dazzling when viewed through one of TC's margaritas.
