Fresh seafood is the specialty at this sparkling clean cafe -- so fresh it's still alive. The chef works magic with Cantonese or Mandarin-style lobster, crab, tilapia, flatfish, rock cod and shellfish. Choose anything from the 210-plus-item menu and it will be superb, crafted with excellent ingredients and light, refined sauces (no Americanized sugar-cornstarch overload here). Congee (rice porridge) and the meal-in-a-bowl hot pot are prime.

The only problem we have with Tao Garden is deciding what to eat: Everything on the restaurant's 210-plus-item menu is spectacular.
