If the movie Tampopo made you hungry, the bowl of ramen that whetted your appetite in an early scene is re-created at this similarly named eatery that arrived three months after the film's local debut. Although the noodles here aren't house-made, the visual arrangement (and juxtaposition of flavors) is purely gorgeous, the pork in the chashu ramen is moist and delicious, and the broth is so tasty, you may end up slurping the last drops from the bottom of the bowl. (Choose the shiu ramen if you prefer a minimum of soy sauce.) Several side dishes are offered; resist them.
