Description

When it comes to Chinese food, there’s no doubt about the fact that the Twin Cities loves its Szechuan and since its opening in the Lyn-Lake neighborhood in 2010, Szechuan Spice has been receiving rave reviews from critics and patrons alike. Big portions, free delivery, and seriously hot chili peppers that produce that numbing effect known as ma la. Go for the sticky and sweet General Tso’s tofu, traditional wrinkly and savory Szechuan green beans, cold noodles with sesame, and chewy double cooked pork with hot and sweet peppers. More adventurous eaters will appreciate the signature Szechuan dishes on the menu like ma la beef tendon, stewed sliced beef and stomach, tea smoked duck, and hot pot with chitterlings.

With portions the size of placemats and spice levels that will warm a polar plunge participant, this isn't your typical chicken lo-mein and beef with broccoli Chinese restaurant, though both are on the menu. We recommend the chicken with double chili pepper (eat it with a water faucet nearby), the... More »
