Description
First it was a Laundromat. Then it was the Sundown Tavern. Now this Greenwood fixture's been spiffed up and remodeled into Sweet Lou's, complete with a clever slogan - "Lou's Yourself" - and an entire wall devoted to its most famous namesakes (Gehrig, Rawls, Reed). The kitchen pumps out seriously scrumptious beef brisket and the slider portions are so generous that what's usually a snack of three White Castle clones can easily serve as dinner. Overall, Sweet Lou's is a warm and welcoming neighborhood spot, not least because of bartendress Susan Hailey, who's so nice she'd make your favorite aunt look like Mussolini.
