Who'd have thought that the hottest spot on SoBo would serve ice cream? When Samantha Kopicko and Chia Basinger opened their storefront spot in 2009, they just wanted to serve up the very best homemade ice cream they could, using milk and cream from local dairies and spices from Savory Spice Shop to create dozens of truly cool new flavors -- including the incredible Stranahan's Whiskey Brickle, featuring Colorado's own whiskey. But in the process, they've become a must-stop for all the hipsters heading out for a night on the town.

great owners, great product and i like that they work with other businesses. they were doing an ice cream with chunks of diablo cookie in it from victory love + cookies but i haven't seen that one in awhile. luckily i can still go over to vlc (inside the denver bread company), buy the diablo cookies and do my own mix ins!

For better or worse, I'm a hardcore lover of ice cream and gelato. I've tried the majority of the shops in Denver and no one else comes close to the yummy delicousness found at Sweet Action. Some not familiar with the Action might retort, "But what about Bonnie Brae Ice Cream?" Pshh, I say...they aren't qualified to hold Sweet Action's ice cream scoop. Seriously good stuff. The owners are super friendly too.
