Description

Susie Cakes is a cupcake shop in Newport Beach with many styles to chose from. The cakes at Susie have the most ridiculous amount of thick, creamy frosting atop their old-timey favorites (red velvet, carrot cake, German chocolate, marble cake, fudge cake) and not-so-old-timey favorites (tropical coconut or celebration cake, which is rainbowed vanilla cake with sugar confetti!). Susie Cakes also offers puddings, cheesecakes, pies, cookies (sugar! Animal! Molasses!), homemade whoopie pies and cakes by the slice. Throughout September, as well as featuring goodies such as apple pie with a crumble topping and caramel apple cheesecake, the cupcakery (with a branch in Newport Beach) also offers a complimentary applesauce cupcake with cream cheese frosting for any students in pre-school through 6th grade who bring in an A-graded assignment. They can also enter a competition to win cupcakes for the whole class, which is bound to make them really popular, even with the snobs and bullies.
