The omakase menu at Sushi-Gen is a customer favorite, with over 20 pieces of fresh raw fish including toro, Spanish mackerel and albacore. There are no fried, done-up rolls here ... no baked crab hand roll or spicy tuna on crispy rice. Reservations are strongly recommended at this traditional sushi restaurant.

When it comes to sushi, I don't want trendy a la trendy. Give me good, fresh fish. Sushi-Gen is perfect for that. It's quality. I order the Sashimi Deluxe platter and it has absolutely everything I could possibly want - the sides of tempura, it had tuna, eel, albacore, squid, salmon - it was like a bottomless pit of sushi, so much so that I couldn't finish. The price is def. right - I had sake & the deluxe platter for $30, with food to spare. If you're all about the food - this place is great. Expect a wait, but it's worth it. This is the real deal.
