This Mexi-Cali taco shop is straight out of L.A., replete with a wave-crested beachscape painted on the walls and a salsa bar fashioned like a tiki hut. Surf Road specializes in Baja fish tacos, only their version of the Cali classic washes up on Florida shores thanks to the addition of fresh mahi-mahi. The fish is grilled or fried in big, meaty chunks (we prefer the fried) and stuffed into two flour tortillas filled with shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, and a tangy, homemade cilantro-lime sauce. Good stuff, but avoid the flavorless shrimp version. There are also nearly two dozen other varieties of burritos, tacos, chimichangas, salads, and quesadillas, and even the most expensive one will set you back only nine bucks: The Hemingway: mahi, shrimp, rice, beans, lettuce, chilies, roasted peppers, sour cream, salsa verde, and a two-hour nap afterward.
