Description

Some folks loving call this underground dive on the Pearl Street Mall "The Scumdowner," it's worth weathering some unkempt folks (i.e. hippies) and the college set for the cheap booze, killer jukebox and a lot of pool tables.

    It's a good place to be drunk and unruly, but I lost my favorite hoodie there. I go looking for it everytime I go back...though it may have been left at the attic, that night's a blur.

    Great bar. Lots of seating and activity. Several pool tables, two dart boards, shuffleboard, and foosball. They also have the best jukebox I've seen in Colorado to date. Who has full albums by artists like Gorillaz, Broken Bells, Best Coast, and Neon Indian available to play? I should also mention Mystery Can Mondays: the bartender grabs beers from a iced down cooler of canned beer behind the bar, whatever he grabs... you get each for a dollar.

    You can smell the stale beer from outside the underground bar from Pearl Street. Enjoy a game of pool, pitchers of PBR and a funky scene of people. Always a good time and everyone is in a good mood when they go to the downer. And if you haven't gone in awhile, let the urge to go takeover and have fun!!
