Description

Straits serves modern Singaporean cuisine with Thai and Vietnamese influences in a lounge-like atmosphere. Hip decor, one of the largest outdoor dining areas in the city, pounding music and young servers make this an upscale hangout for the younger crowd. West Coast chef Chris Yeo recently opened the Houston location at CityCentre, and the crowds are rapidly discovering the spicy cuisine. Star dishes include the Singapore Chili Crab sautéed in a sweet and spicy sauce and the Banana Leaf Salmon, grilled salmon wrapped in a banana leaf with lemongrass.
