Located adjacent to West Hollywood, between Melrose and Sunset Boulevards, STK's chic and elegant setup is "not your daddy's steakhouse." Atypical of traditional meat-intensive restaurants of its kind, STK harbors no overly masculine energy. The connecting lounge, Coco de Ville, has a busy dance floor and upstairs patio and bar. Chef Miller prepares shellfish, signature skewers, salads, and a daily selection of steak, tuna, and salmon tartar and carpaccio. The cocktail list features an in-depth wine list with over 230 bottles.
The food is phenomenal and it has really great service. The scene/crowd here is great, too. The original is in New York City. The group that owns this place, The One Group, has several top-notch spots.
I'm friends with the chef, so he always comes out and hooks me up with different things that he can make.
Alright, so this place is a bit of a scene, paparazzi always outside, BUT it deserves it. The food is great! The room is really decorated cool and the service is very friendly/fun. Once the restaurant knows you, they take really good care of repeat visitors. They also have a really cool vibe because the group that put it together originated in NYC. Try the BONE IN NEW YORK if you can fit it all in. The bar is also a good spot to stop in if you don't mind the crowd.
