Ezra Malmuth and Nate Barnett are the men behind Stick It to Me: a big, white machine from which they proffer gourmet versions of that street-food classic, meat on a stick. The two friends forged their skewer partnership back in high school in the Bay Area, where they won an award for their chicken recipe. They parted ways for college and reconvened in Denver with their newly outfitted truck, named Stick It to Me, from which they sell that chicken in addition to a Korean-style tamari-and-ginger-glazed beef, a Spanish ground-beef-and-pork meatball, and a veggie option made of green curry-marinated tofu. The skewers are grilled to order and served plain, atop a salad or in a sandwich. You can supplement your entree with crisply fried mashed-potato balls or French waffles, not on a stick.
