Description

With a relaxing ambiance, fancy cocktails and an impressive wine list, State & Allen straddles the casual and upscale line. The big hit on the menu is the Silver Bowl - "The Original" salad, with romaine lettuce, chunks of bacon, red grape halves, mandarin oranges, diced red bell peppers, marinated chicken and two dressings (a balsamic vinaigrette and a Caesar, drizzled separately to pack a one-two punch). The to-go version of salad, served in a corn-derivative biodegradable container, is one of the reasons that State & Allen is certified as an earth-friendly eatery by the Green Restaurant Association. For those who can't bear to part with their pooches during a brunch outing, you're in luck. The restaurant's patio welcomes four-legged friends.

    Great place to bring your dog and sit in a covered patio. The food is very good, good drink specials and more of a restaurant inside then a bar.

    Go for the silver bowl salad, chicken sandwich, or the pizzas (1/2 priced on Mondays). avg price is prob $12-16. Brunch is good too, the purple potato hash is my favorite thing on Sunday dishes.
