Caribbean food is news to us-but we'd heard such great things about this tiny eatery, located in a mini-mall just east of a Fry's grocery, that we knew we had to go. The restaurant is clean and quaint, and the owners are very evident, hopping from table to table to explain the joys of curried goat, steamed cabbage, and the peas and rice, a house specialty. Everything we tried tasted fresh and was well prepared, and we were especially taken with the Beef Patty, which is sort of like a spicy meat Pop Tart (without the frosting, natch). The menu changes daily, so if you're longing for Jerk Chicken (it's especially good here) or Brown Chicken Stew, call ahead to make sure it's on the menu. While you're on the phone, be sure to ask when they'll next be serving Ox-Tail, an elusive dish that's tough to find in the desert.
