Starbelly is both a neighborhood restaurant and a gastronomic destination. Chef Adam Timney's housemade salumi is available in assortments or at lunch in excellent sandwiches. The frequently changing menus offer shareable snacks (which might include mini corn dogs, roasted padron peppers, or popcorn clams) and small plates (velvety housemade chicken-liver pate, roasted mussels with chorizo, grilled local sardines). There are fresh salads, vegetable sides (corn with mascarpone and garlic), and half a dozen thin-crust pizzas. Large plates might feature fresh spaghetti with bacon and jalapenos, rotisserie chicken, or roasted porchetta. The eclectic wine and beer list also features interesting wine- and beer-based cocktails, as well as house-squeezed juices and excellent coffee. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday.
