Description

An army of hip, coffee-drinking twenty- and thirty-somethings sets up camp at the tables of St. Mark's every day, sipping hot drinks while hacking away furiously on their laptops. No matter what time of day you show up at this spacious shop for a cup of joe, you might be hard-pressed to find a seat -- but you're guaranteed to find congenial company. The cafe shares a wall, patio and liquor license with next door's Thin Man (the two are connected by a staff-only door in the wall), and St. Mark's serves PBR in addition to lattes, making it a good spot for a low-key beer if you're not in the mood for the dark digs and ambience of the bar.

Then came the corporate cloning of the coffee experience, and suddenly even Rotarians in Littleton were slurping cappuccinos on their way to the mall. Thankfully, St. Mark's -- both the... More »

If the long line and full tables that greeted us at St. Mark's Coffeehouse this morning are any indication, Denverites can't start their days without a caffeine-fix. So it should be no surprise that w... More »

Wow -- it's not even the first of the year, and the restaurant fallout has already begun. I'll miss the St. Mark's Coffeehouse at 1416 Market Street, although the second St. Mark's location, at 2019 East 17th Avenue, is still going strong. The sig... More »
