Riverfront Times's Description
Well into its second decade, the Schlafly Tap Room has been given a menu overhaul courtesy of popular local chef Andy White. The new dishes strike a balance between Schlafly's brewpub roots and White's contemporary-bistro background. Sandwiches include a fantastic ham and fried-egg concoction and a tasty burger. Don't worry, long-time Tap Room fans: Most of the classic dishes remain, including the warm, soft pretzels with white-cheddar dip, the brats and, of course, the fish and chips. Local music lovers and nightclub dwellers also know the Tap Room as a thriving event space and a great place to catch free live music from some of the area's best bands and musicians. They also hosts the occasional up-and-coming touring acts, so watch the schedule.
Tips from foursquare
A recent menu update added some satisfying items, but don't try to lure us away from the fish-'n'-fries. To drink, try a cask-conditioned beer like the hopped-up Schlafly APA. (Evan S. Benn)
Order a delicious locally brewed beer and some fish & chips. Proceed to then win at life.
If you ask for Budweiser or "something like Budweiser" I will put fire on you.
Try the beer
Beer cheese soup. A gift from the Gods.
